Check this out!

During my latest trip to the keys I learned a new trick on my motorcycle. Old Guys Rule!
I can't wait to show this off next year for Bike Week to all the kids on their crotch rockets. Their "bikes" have nothing on my Harley!

Blending the Boat In

I wasn't able to find a legitimate alternative for a boat cover so I bought another Parachute.  This one is camouflage, what do you think?

My main man was a major help in getting the parachute on. Without him it would have taken me at least an hour to get it secured with all the wind we had that day.

Personal Training

As I've said before, in my spare time I like to work out. I also help others with their own physical improvements as a personal trainer.  My favorite cardio, and one of the best fat burners I know, is Zumba.
Do you Zumba?

Sickness

One bad thing about a small office is when illness strikes it tends to spread fast.  3 of my employees have gotten sick recently.  I'm just hoping it doesn't creep back to my office, or to any of my other employees.
Here's to Lysol and caution tape!

Storming in my Office

Remember my parachute boat cover I told you about?  With the recent storm that passed through it is getting worse.  I really need to take the "cover" off, it's not doing anything for preventing damage from the elements at this point.
The storm was so bad we had to have a roofer come out and tarp a portion of the office.  Luckily he was willing to come out in the midst of the storm and get us taken care of.
This is what we came into last week after a night of strong wind and rain.

What a mess! But…things happen. And I guess you have to put out money to make more money.

I'm still open to suggestions on a new, affordable boat cover.  If you have any thoughts please comment below.

Taking the Aviation Industry to New Heights

A great advertising tactic is writing in the sky. It's fun to do and spectators just love it. Everyone stops to take pictures and often sends them to their friends or posts it online so even more people see it. "Free" advertising for a bit of fun.

Cinco de Chatty

cinco de mayo, mariachi band

Happy (almost)Cinco de Chatty! Posting a little early because I won't be around the computer this weekend. The Kentucky Derby is Saturday and Cinco de Mayo is Sunday. Last year I threw a wild Kentucky Derby Party; large hats, bow ties, mint juleps and all.

Enjoy your weekend and be safe! I'm ready for a Mariachi band and a margarita, how about you?

Key West Getaway

I'm back to work today refreshed from a relaxing extended weekend in the Keys. I ended up leaving my boat behind. I usually make it down there a few times a year, so next time I'll be taking the boat.

Even though I was out of the office, I was still doing work on the drive down. I found a great deal on some parts so we had to get the PO issued. It's always exciting to come up on a deal that can't be passed up.

Back to the numbers for now. To the Keys, until next time...

Vacation

Another morning in my North Florida town, only today the sun is shining and the rain has finally moved on. After two weeks since my last vacation I am off again and can't wait to get my boat in the water. Working deals and researching numbers all day long has left me wanting to get away. The interview earlier this week didn't help matters either. The individual was late and didn't quite have the qualities I was looking for in an assistant.

The time spent developing new business as well as overseeing what we are currently doing can be quite tiring. Fortunately for me I have a great support staff that strives to maintain the business in my absence.

Speaking of my boat...Working in the Aviation Industry led me to an affordable option of using a parachute as a boat cover. Costing me less than 5% of what an actual boat cover would cost, it deemed a good alternative. The only problem is I've been using it for a little over 6 months and the wind is just tearing it up.

Do you have any suggestions for what else I could use to cover my boat?

Position Available: Mini Me

As a busy parts executive, I find myself needing a little extra help sometimes. There are just so many numbers out there.
I’m interviewing for a Mini Me this morning. Wish me luck that he is the right fit!
